Fort Worth Basin Barnett Shale Study available
The Ft. Worth Basin Barnett regional geologic study is current to 2001.
We have completed
the collection of RRC production data and have generated decline curves
for 646 Barnett gas wells (through Dec. 31 2000). The decline curves and
295 digitized Barnett logs are included in the study. See the

Who We Are
We are The Discovery Group,
Inc., a group of consulting petrophysicists and geologists located in
Denver, Colorado. We have worked worldwide since 1986 and have extensive
expertise in the evaluation of shale gas reservoirs. We were contracted to
study the Barnett Shale by a major oil company in 1995. That study was
released to us and we updated it to the end of 2000. Currently we are
starting a similar study of the Barnett and Woodford Shales in the Delaware
basin of West Texas, where a thick sequence of thick sequence of both shales is
present.
